Description
Asia-Pacific Library and Information Conference 2018, 30 July - 2 August 2018 Gold Coast: Roar Leap Dare
This conference presentation (PowerPoint slides) accompanied the talk on the results of the Health Libraries for National Standards (HeLiNS) research project.
All Australian hospitals are accredited according to the National Safety and Quality Health Services (NSQHS) Standards. The Health Libraries for National Standards (HeLiNS) research aimed to explore and record the contribution that health libraries make to the achievement of hospital accreditation. The project was funded by the 2016 ALIA Research Grant, enabling the coordination of two component studies.
Specific objectives were to:
- Explore ways in which health libraries assist their organisations in achieving accreditation
- Design expert searches that will assist organisations in keeping current with the latest research-based literature (evidence) pertinent to the NSQHS Standards
- Assess the availability of resource materials referenced in NSQHS Standards documentation and workbooks
